“The dark Pharagonesia album, tackling subjects such as nuclear war, robots and staying up all night"
David Dilliway

MAV was recorded back-to-back with 'Geocentrics'. We needed an outlet for our darker music which we enjoyed making a lot of at this time. Like 'Geocentrics' this was recorded in the late 1990's and then remastered in the noughties.

'Darkness' was the first track we ever made utilizing generative music software.

'New World' contains a vocoder-disguised short horror story about mass agriculture animals and machines becoming a single apocalyptic entity.

'Enter' contains many samples from various self-help and sound effects records found in charity shops.

Most of the album was recorded on a Fostex 8 track at David’s house in Cliffsend near Ramsgate. Other kit we used included Yamaha SY85, Zoom Sampletrack, Denon CD decks (for loops), Mini Korg and a borrowed Korg MS2000 (for vocoder etc), field recordings and various old spoken word records for samples. We also used a very early generative music program for the bulk of ‘Darkness’.
